• The resilience of an individual connection is dependent on a range of factors, including location, communications provider, and the connection technology used. This means it is complex to work out the impact of a power outage or other incident affecting connectivity.
• The role of end users - all organisations should have their own network resilience plans in place, big or small.
• Resilience isn't just a technical issue - communications and awareness raising is a very significant part of this preparedness.
• Satellite technology is being seen as high on the list to support terrestrial network resilience and mitigation.

• Public sector resilience is not just about resilience for emergency services, it's much wider. It's about governments working with local authorities to ensure local community resilience.
