This milestone deal for FarrPoint is one of its biggest projects to date, and sees the team supporting Allwyn and other strategic partners such as Vodafone and Scientific Games, with the detailed planning, design, and implementation of their new network and data centres.
Chosen by Allwyn for their expertise in network architecture and knowledge of the supplier market, FarrPoint’s work is supporting transition and transformation in the National Lottery; bringing more efficiency, improving convenience and access for participation, and using technology to help increase the lottery’s investment in good causes.
Commenting on the contract win, FarrPoint’s CEO Dr Andrew Muir said: “The National Lottery operates one of the largest networks in the UK, so to be part of improving the technology behind it is exciting and a great honour for us. We had already been working with Allwyn for some time, sharing our knowledge and expertise on connectivity in the UK to support their bid, and this appointment means that we can now look forward to being a part of this ongoing journey with them.
“Our technical team have many decades of network architecture experience between them, so are well-placed to understand the challenges in designing and deploying the technical solutions that Allwyn need for their network connectivity.”
Allwyn UK’s Advisor to CEO and Board, Tony Khatskevich said:
"The external technology environment has changed greatly since the early days of the National Lottery. When bidding for the Fourth Licence, we recognised the important role that technology and the underlying network would play in driving the National Lottery into the future."
"We wanted an organisation that could provide us with the support needed to help deliver on all our network requirements, and FarrPoint fit the bill perfectly in terms of their technical expertise and supplier knowledge."
Connectivity is important. It drives business and society, bringing communities and commerce together. That's why we use our insight and experience to connect people and business.
